ABOUT OUR TEAM
Beaverworx is Team 2609 of FIRST Robotics based at Our Lady of Lourdes CHS in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2008, this team provides opportunities for students from all over our district to participate in competitive and inspirational events. Students learn career skills in engineering, design, math, computer science and are inspired by industry professional mentors and FRC alumni who are dedicated in fostering an educative and meaningful atmosphere.
Founded in 1989, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an international nonprofit organization that elevates young people to become science and technology leaders. The organization's mission is to inspire students through hands-on programs that challenge them to be innovative, take risks, work as a team, serve their community, think critically, communicate effectively and solve complex problems. Today it has evolved into a phenomenon that reaches all corners of the world giving opportunities to countless students and future leaders.
